Happy Hallowe'en!

So yeah, it's tricks and treats day. Kinda makes me wish I was a kid again, wandering the streets, skirting past rapists and molesters, scoring rewards of chips and chocolate... good times.

I think I'm going to go out tonight anyway, not as a trick or treater, but as one of those guys who lurks in the shadows and watches the children as they roam about. Not touching myself inappropriately or scheming to kidnap or harm the kids, just wanna see what the kids are wearing. This is my first year NOT living in a home, so I won't get to see them come up to my front door, which kinda sucks.

Anyway, here's a little something I'll leave you with, a picture Iza left on the whiteboard in the kitchen that used to be home to a boring grocery list. Jack and Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas. Heh, dating an artist can take a little getting used to.

Have a good one!

Happy Kiloday!

So yeah, on Saturaday the 15th, at 7pm, Iza and I celebrated our one kiloday anniversary.

1000 days ago Iza and I had our first date. Before you go thinkin' about how strange we are, let me just point out that the only reason we knew when we would have our kiloday was that I put in the date and time of our first date into my cellphone, a half dozen cellphones ago. When my mom needed a phone number during the move, I activated that old cellphone and while clicking through the menu I stumbled upon that countdown (countup?). It was approaching the 1000 day mark, and we thought maybe we should do something for our 1000th day.

...So we went to the cottage.

And had a good long weekend of it.

So, Iza, thanks for the last kiloday. It was great. I'm really looking forward to our next kiloday, I'm sure it'll be a significant one with lots of changes in store for us both. It'll be awesome.
